Frequently Asked Questions

Here you'll find some of the appliance-related questions that we hear on a regular basis. If you've got something you'd like to ask us yourself, please don't hesitate to contact us here or by calling (302) 684-8888.

Where do you perform your repairs?

We prefer to perform all repairs in home if at all possible. Some repairs may call for us to take an appliance to our shop, but all efforts are made to get your property up and running without it ever leaving your home.

Is it worth fixing?

This ultimately depends on the damage an appliance has sustained, its age and the availability of replacement parts. After we review your appliance we will provide a proper recommendation for you - we're here to help, and we won't hesitate to let you know if replacing a machine entirely is a better option than paying for it to be repaired.

How often should I change my water filter?

We recommend sticking to your manufacturer guidelines (which provide time frames specific to your appliance) when it comes to water filter changes. If you notice a definitive change in water taste or flow, however, you should check your filter immediately.

Do you clean dryer vents?

While we do not specialize in dryer vents, we can replace them for you. We recommend that they be replaced at least once every five years.

How often should a lint filter be cleaned out?

Lint filters should be thoroughly cleaned out after every load the dryer runs. Clogged lint filters directly effect dryer performance and life expectancy.

How often should a lint filter be cleaned out?

Loose water or an excess of soap or softener can leave your washing machine with a distinct smell. We recommend putting white vinegar (and only that) through the machine for a cycle once a year. This should clear up any back up and eliminate the machine's smell.
